Filmmaker’s Bios
Kevin Carey is a writer and a filmmaker. Local documentary projects include Revere Beach: The Changing Tide and Marblehead: A Summer Portrait. His recent short film, The Acorn, will be part of the Marblehead Festival of The Arts. Recent publications of fiction and poetry include The Paterson Literary Review, The Comstock Review, Writer ’s on the Job Anthology, Still Waters: Crime Stories by New England Writers, The Literary Review and The White Pelican Review, where his poem “Shredding Me,” was nominated for a Push Cart Prize.Kevin is also a teacher of Creative Writing at Salem State College and a seventh grade basketball coach. |
Sean Devlin is a natural community organizer. Through his efforts he has raised money for The Beverly Bookmoble, the River House, a shelter for homeless men, and soon, The Haborlight Community Partnership, a coalition for affordable housing. Sean has done this by organizing events in his neighborhood, such as the Halloween Parade, the Fish Flake Hill Talent Show, and the Trashfinder ’s Ball.Sean is also a fiction writer and a playwright. He has written two books, Above the Gutter and Cabotville (which has recently been rewritten as a play of the same name). Sean is a graduate from Goddard College and received his MFA from Vermont College. His book Above the Gutter was a finalist in the Harper Collins National Best Seller Contest. |
